A Very Cherry Day

How’s everyone doing?  We had a weekend of family fun.

Our friends had the great idea to go cherry pickin’ and invited us along.

We went in search of these beauties.

Cherry Goodness

I can’t believe we are just now going cherry pickin’!

After all, The Hub and I love cherries so much, we served them with our wedding cake.

Our journey to cherry goodness was a very scenic one.

We drove through miles and miles of windmills.

Vineyards

It wouldn’t be Northern California without vineyards.

We saw windmills and vineyards and cows and cow’s babies.  What we were looking for is this.

Wondering if we were violating any child labor laws.

and rocks.

Overall a productive day

According to the cherry farmer, the season will be over at the end of June so you’ve got about two more weeks to find some cherry goodness.

Comments

  1. It looks like you had a fabulous day. I have never been cherry picking, maybe I will have to try it one day.

  2. Vicky says:

I assume you went to Brentwood? We had the best time. Our favorites were the strawberries. We will make this a tradition for sure.

    • Denise says:

Yes, we went to Brentwood. We went when it was 88 degrees out, so I was grateful for the shade of the cherry trees.

I want to go strawberry picking next time. On a cool day like today!
